I am responsible for coordinating yard and port operations activities within a container terminal environment to ensure smooth and efficient cargo movement. My core duties include supervising container positioning and stacking operations to optimize yard space utilization and support vessel stowage planning requirements. I work closely with equipment operators, clerks, and other operational teams to ensure that cranes, trucks, and terminal handling equipment are deployed effectively to meet operational targets. I also monitor and supervise gate operations, including truck arrival and departure movements, documentation verification, and cargo dispatch coordination to maintain proper flow control within the terminal. Maintaining accurate operational records, supporting shipment documentation processes, and ensuring data integrity within operational systems are also part of my responsibilities. Safety compliance is a critical aspect of my role. I ensure that operational activities are conducted in line with established safety, health, and environmental standards to minimize risks to personnel, equipment, and cargo. Additionally, I support vessel-related logistics operations by coordinating with planners, customs officers, and other stakeholders to ensure containers are readily available for examination, loading, or discharge operations. I also contribute to improving operational performance by identifying bottlenecks, supporting process improvements, and working with cross-functional teams to reduce turnaround time and enhance productivity within terminal operations.
