I work as a Coiled Tubing Field Engineer at Sterling Exploration & Production Company, Nigeria, where I am responsible for planning, preparing, and supervising coiled tubing well intervention operations to ensure safe and efficient field performance. My role involves preparing detailed coiled tubing operational programs that outline the job objectives, procedures, equipment requirements, and safety precautions required for successful operations. I also prepare job tickets, daily operational reports, and MIS reports to accurately document field activities, track operational performance, and support departmental reporting and analysis. In the field, I support and supervise coiled tubing intervention activities by coordinating with field crews, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure that operations are executed according to the approved program and operational standards. I ensure the proper setup, inspection, and testing of coiled tubing units, pressure control equipment, and surface testing systems before and during operations to maintain operational integrity and prevent well control issues. Additionally, I monitor key operational parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and equipment performance in real time to ensure smooth job execution and provide quick technical support when challenges arise. I also maintain strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards by conducting safety briefings, performing risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to company procedures.
