· Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, levelling ground, and digging trenches or foundations · Load and unload building materials such as cement, bricks, timber, steel, and piping from delivery trucks · Transport materials across the worksite using wheelbarrows, trolleys, or forklifts · Mix and pour concrete, mortar, and other materials for foundations, floors, and structures · Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, barricades, and temporary site structures · Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment like jackhammers and compactors · Support skilled tradespeople including carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers with tasks and materials · Assist in measuring, cutting, and positioning building materials as directed by supervisors · Maintain a clean and organized worksite by removing waste, sweeping, and storing tools properly · Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and report potential hazards to site supervisors · Perform basic demolition tasks such as breaking down old structures and removing debris · Dig trenches for utilities, foundations, or drainage systems using shovels and other tools · Assist in laying pipes, conduits, and other materials during site preparation phases · Control traffic around the worksite by setting up signs, cones, and barriers when needed · Support concrete pouring operations by guiding chutes, spreading material, and finishing surfaces · Load and unload tools and equipment at the start and end of each workday · Help with site security by ensuring barriers are in place and materials are properly stored · Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox talks to stay updated on site conditions · Report equipment malfunctions or material shortages to site managers promptly · Adapt to changing tasks and work schedules to meet project deadlines and requirements
