Assist in general rig operations and support drilling crew in daily field activities. Perform loading, unloading, and transportation of drilling equipment, pipes, and materials. Carry out rigging and lifting operations using slings, shackles, hooks, and lifting tools. Assist crane operators by guiding and signaling during lifting and moving heavy loads. Inspect and maintain rigging equipment such as slings, chains, and lifting accessories. Ensure all lifting operations follow safe lifting procedures and company HSE policies. Maintain proper housekeeping on the rig floor and work areas to ensure safe operations. Assist with rig-up and rig-down operations during drilling rig installation or dismantling. Clean, paint, and maintain rig equipment, tools, and structures. Support maintenance teams in minor repair and equipment servicing tasks. Follow permit-to-work (PTW) system, safety procedures, and PPE requirements. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency drills. Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
