Operate and control drilling equipment to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations. Monitor drilling parameters such as weight on bit (WOB), rotation speed (RPM), mud pressure, and drilling depth. Supervise and coordinate rig crew members including assistant drillers, derrickmen, and roughnecks. Ensure all drilling activities follow company procedures, drilling programs, and safety regulations. Maintain well control and respond quickly to any abnormal pressure or drilling problems. Perform troubleshooting during drilling operations such as stuck pipe, loss circulation, or equipment malfunction. Communicate and coordinate with drilling supervisors, engineers, and other departments on site. Record and report drilling progress, operational data, and incidents during each shift. Ensure proper maintenance and inspection of drilling equipment. Promote and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards at the work site.
