1. HSE Management and Policy Implementation • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety and environmental regulations. • Promote a safety culture across all levels of the organization. 2. Risk Assessment and Hazard Management • Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA/JHA), and hazard identification for all operational activities. • Identify potential hazards in workplace, drilling, production, or process operations. • Implement preventive and corrective measures to mitigate risks. 3. Audits and Inspections • Carry out routine and special HSE inspections on sites, equipment, and operations. • Support internal and external audits (ISO, OGRA, OSHA, environmental audits). • Ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented. 4. Incident Investigation and Reporting • Lead investigations for accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts. • Identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive measures. • Maintain accurate HSE records and reports for management and regulatory authorities. 5. Training and Awareness • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and HSE training for employees and contractors. • Raise awareness about safety standards, PPE use, and emergency procedures. • Ensure new hires and contractors are oriented on site-specific safety requirements. 6. Permit to Work (PTW) and Work Control • Review and approve PTWs for high-risk operations (hot work, confined space, electrical work, lifting operations). • Monitor compliance with PTW and operational safety procedures. • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure safe work practices are followed. 7. Emergency Response and Preparedness • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. • Conduct drills for fire, spill, or evacuation scenarios. • Act as part of the emergency response team during incidents.
