Work under the direction of the Driller and/or Rig Manager. Operation pipe handling equipment on the drilling location. Assist the Driller in the operation of drilling equipment such as the drill rig, pumps, and other machinery. Participate in pre-drilling meetings to discuss the drilling plan, safety procedures, and potential hazards. Monitor and maintain drilling fluid levels and mud properties. Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment and tools. Assist in the running of casing and cementing operations. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Keep accurate records of drilling operations, equipment usage, and maintenance activities. Work collaboratively with other members of the drilling team to achieve project goals. Communicate effectively with the Driller and other team members to ensure smooth operations. Respond to any well control situations promptly as directed and practiced in the various safety drills.
