Develop, implement, and regularly update HSE policies, procedures, and programs (e.g., safe work procedures, emergency plans, environmental controls). Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend or follow up on corrective actions. Plan and deliver HSE training (inductions, toolbox talks, emergency drills, PPE use) and promote a strong safety culture. Oversee emergency preparedness and response, including fire protection arrangements, evacuation plans, and coordination in real incidents. Check availability and proper use of PPE and other protective systems, and support enforcement of HSE rules on site. An HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Specialist is mainly responsible for building, implementing, and monitoring systems that keep people safe, protect the environment, and ensure legal compliance at work.
