In my role as an Offshore Safety Officer, my main responsibility is to make sure all work is carried out safely and according to company HSE procedures and safety regulations. I regularly monitor work activities on site and ensure workers follow proper safety practices during operations. Before starting any job, I review the risk assessment and Job Safety Analysis to identify possible hazards and make sure the required control measures are implemented. I also check and monitor the Permit to Work system for critical activities such as hot work, confined space entry, working at height, and lifting operations. I conduct daily toolbox talks to remind workers about the risks involved in their tasks and the importance of following safety procedures. I also ensure that all personnel are using the correct personal protective equipment and working safely.
