Ensure all electrical equipment works properly during drilling operations. 2. Troubleshooting Electrical Faults Identify electrical problems in rig equipment. Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuits, motors, and control systems. Quickly restore power to avoid drilling downtime. 3. Installation of Electrical Systems Install new electrical equipment and wiring on the rig. Connect lighting systems, power distribution panels, and control systems. Support electrical setup during rig upgrades or modifications. 4. Inspection and Testing Inspect electrical systems regularly for faults or damage. Use testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and voltage testers. Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. 5. Generator and Power System Management Monitor and maintain diesel generators and power distribution systems. Ensure stable power supply for drilling machines and rig operations. 6. Safety Compliance Follow oil and gas industry safety standards. Prevent electrical hazards such as short circuits, overloads, and sparks. Work safely in hazardous areas with explosive gases. 7. Documentation and Reporting Record maintenance activities and electrical repairs. Report faults or equipment issues to supervisors. 8. Working with Rig Team Coordinate with mechanics, drilling crew, and rig engineers. Support electrical needs during drilling operations.
