1. Planning & Coordination Develop daily, weekly, and monthly drilling/workover plans. Coordinate with engineers, geologists, and rig personnel. Schedule equipment, materials, and workforce for operations. 2. Supervision of Drilling Operations Monitor drilling, completion, or workover activities on-site. Ensure operations follow technical specifications and design plans. Adjust operations as needed to optimize efficiency and safety. 3. Safety & Compliance Enforce strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards. Conduct safety meetings and drills with rig crew. Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. 4. Technical Oversight Oversee well control measures and prevent blowouts or equipment failures. Troubleshoot drilling or workover problems in real-time. Monitor mud systems, casing, and completion equipment. 5. Team Management Supervise drilling crew, contractors, and subcontractors. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure proper communication among teams. Evaluate performance and provide guidance/training as needed. 6. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily drilling/workover reports and logs. Record incidents, delays, and operational changes. Communicate progress and issues to management or project engineers. 7. Equipment & Resource Management Ensure rig and well service equipment are properly maintained. Track inventory of tools, materials, and consumables. Coordinate logistics for moving rigs or equipment to new locations.
