Extensive experience supporting drilling operations from the rig floor. • Proficient in handling drill pipes, collars, and tools during tripping and casing runs. • Skilled in operating rig floor equipment such as tongs, elevators, slips, and safety clamps. • Knowledge of mud systems, pumps, and pit management. • Hands-on experience with rig-up and rig-down procedures in different drilling environments. • Physically fit, reliable, and adaptable to extended shifts and demanding conditions. • Team-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to take direction under high-pressure operations. 1. Handling Drill Pipe and Equipment Assist in connecting and disconnecting drill pipes during drilling operations. Guide pipes using tongs, slips, and other rig tools. Help move drill collars, casing, and tubing. Maintain control of the drill string on the rig floor. 2. Rig Floor Operations Support Work under the supervision of the Driller or Assistant Driller. Help during tripping operations (pulling pipe out of the hole or running it in). Operate manual rig floor equipment. Ensure tools and equipment are ready and properly placed. 3. Equipment Maintenance Clean and maintain rig floor equipment. Lubricate and inspect tongs, chains, slips, and rotary equipment. Report damaged or faulty tools to supervisors. Assist mechanics with basic maintenance tasks. 4. Safety Responsibilities Follow rig safety procedures and PPE requirements. Keep the rig floor clean and free from hazards. Assist in emergency drills and safety meetings. Watch for high-pressure lines, moving machinery, and suspended loads. 5. Material Handling Load and unload drilling materials and supplies. Assist with pipe racks and pipe handling equipment. Move chemicals, mud additives, and spare parts when needed.
