Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of rig mechanical equipment to ensure continuous drilling operations. Maintain and service mud pumps, drawworks, top drive systems, rotary tables, and engines. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on drilling equipment and rig machinery. Inspect mechanical components regularly to detect faults and prevent equipment failure. Repair and replace defective parts such as valves, bearings, seals, gears, and hydraulic components. Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in drilling operations. Assist in rig-up and rig-down operations, ensuring proper installation of mechanical equipment. Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities to the Chief Mechanic or Toolpusher. Follow company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures and maintain safe working practices. Use proper tools and equipment to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently. Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and equipment inspection logs. Coordinate with drilling crew, electricians, and engineers to ensure smooth rig operations.
