Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain generators, motors, transformers, switchboards, and power distribution systems. Ensure continuous and reliable electricity supply across the vessel or platform. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Maintain PLC systems, control panels, sensors, and monitoring devices. Ensure proper functioning of automated machinery and control systems. Troubleshoot faults in electronic and automation equipment. Identify electrical and electronic faults in equipment. Repair or replace defective components and wiring. Minimize operational downtime by resolving issues quickly. Follow electrical safety procedures and international maritime regulations. Maintain emergency systems such as alarms, fire detection, and emergency lighting. Participate in safety drills and emergency response operations.
