operating activities for 12-16 hours per day.
• Operating equipment and maintain machinery designated to mud pumping, (motors,
drilling rigs, compressor, mud pump systems, etc.).
• First line maintenance of mud pumps.
• Monitors and operates the shakers, works on mud pit, pumps and chemical sacks.
• Maintains an inventory of all pump parts.
• Ensure that general operations in the area run smoothly and standards are met.
• Assist the driller in raising and lowering casing, drill pipe and tubulars through the
drill floor.
• Communicating with other workers on the drilling team to coordinate activities.
• Conducting pump tests, ravel packing, casting well heads and installation of well
d ischarge.
• Performing administrative tasks such as ordering supplies or maintaining records of
inventory.
• Completing paperwork associated with drilling operations, such as operations time
sheet, borehole sample sheets, inventory sheets etc.
• Undertaking works and support in the development and maintenance of new and
existing water supply systems and the components.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities consistent with the purpose and level
of the post.
