During my 2 years as an Instrument Engineer at ANI Integrated Services Ltd, deployed at Deccan Fine Chemicals (I) Pvt Ltd as client site, I was responsible for managing a multi-product industrial process plant comprising approximately 3,500 instruments. My core responsibilities included installation, calibration, commissioning, and ensuring the ongoing operational integrity of all instrumentation and electronic control systems across the entire plant facility.I performed regular preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on all instrumentation and electronic control systems to ensure zero unplanned downtime across the plant. I strictly enforced Permit to Work (PTW) procedures, LOTO protocols, toolbox talks, hazard identification, and risk assessment across all site activities in full compliance with HSEQ standards and company safety policies.I actively supported shutdown, turnaround, and plant restart activities — coordinating work permits, managing cross-functional safety sign-offs, scheduling maintenance tasks, and maintaining accurate logbooks throughout the entire process. I worked closely with electrical, mechanical, operations, and workshop teams to troubleshoot instrument faults and ensure rapid resolution of any technical issues that arose during plant operations.Additionally, I managed inventory records, warehouse documentation, transport coordination, and spare parts management to ensure uninterrupted plant operations at all times. I also prepared detailed audit reports, inspection checklists, and HSEQ compliance summaries in full accordance with company policies and regulatory standards, ensuring the plant always remained audit-ready and operationally efficient.
