Design and plan drilling operations, including well trajectories, casing programs, and drilling fluid systems. • Analyze drilling data to optimize parameters such as weight on bit (WOB), rotary speed (RPM), and flow rates for improved efficiency. • Evaluate and select appropriate drilling equipment, including bottom hole assemblies (BHAs), drill bits, and rig systems. • Conduct cost analysis and risk assessments to ensure drilling projects are completed within budget and safety standards. • Prepare detailed drilling procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements. • Monitor real-time drilling operations and provide technical support to resolve issues such as wellbore instability or equipment failures. • Perform post-well evaluations to identify lessons learned and implement improvements for future operations. • Oversee daily drilling operations on-site, ensuring adherence to the drilling program and safety protocols • Manage and lead drilling crews and service contractors, to maintain operational efficiency. • Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job safety analyses (JSAs) to promote a culture of safety and risk management. • Monitor drilling performance indicators (e.g., rate of penetration, torque, drag) and adjust operations to optimize well delivery. • Supervise critical operations such as casing running, cementing, and well control procedures to ensure they are executed safely and effectively.
