Monitor and record real-time drilling parameters such as rate of penetration (ROP), weight on bit (WOB), pump pressure, and rotary speed.Communicate critical drilling and formation data to the drilling team and geologists. Prepare daily drilling reports (DPR) and wellsite summaries. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of mud logging equipment and sensors. Follow HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and site safety procedures. Assist in well correlation and formation evaluation during drilling operations. Monitor gas trends (total gas, background gas, connection gas) and interpret anomalies. Analyze drilling mud properties including density, viscosity, gas content, and temperature. Detect and evaluate hydrocarbon shows using gas detection equipment and sample analysis. Collect, wash, describe, and log drill cuttings for lithological evaluation. Maintain accurate geological and drilling logs using specialized logging software. Identify abnormal pressure zones and provide early kick detection support.
