As a Directional Driller, responsible for planning and executing well trajectories to achieve precise drilling targets in complex environments. Design J, S, and horizontal well profiles, ensuring accurate placement using advanced tools such as RSS (Rotary Steerable Systems) and conventional motors. Monitor real-time drilling parameters, including inclination, azimuth, and toolface, to maintain optimal wellbore positioning and minimize deviations. Coordinate closely with MWD/LWD engineers, drilling supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth operations and data accuracy. Analyze downhole data to make critical decisions, optimize drilling performance, and reduce non-productive time (NPT). Supervise BHA (Bottom Hole Assembly) configuration and ensure proper tool selection based on well conditions. Responsible for troubleshooting downhole tool issues, including RSS and motor failures, and implementing corrective actions under high-pressure conditions. Ensure compliance with safety standards, including offshore safety procedures and emergency protocols. Maintain detailed reporting of drilling activities, daily progress, and performance metrics. Support field testing of new technologies such as global RSS systems and automation tools. Contribute to continuous improvement by developing innovative solutions, software tools, and training junior engineers. Demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and decision-making skills in both onshore and offshore drilling operations across multiple international locations.
