Perform complete geological surveillance including drill cuttings descriptions and formation evaluation. Evaluate hydrocarbon shows using gas detection systems and mud logging instrumentation. Determine formation tops and correlate geological data with drilling parameters. Track hole and pipe displacements during tripping operations and identify abnormal trends. Communicate all critical events (pits gain/loss, gas/oil shows, drilling breaks, washouts) to drilling supervisors and company representatives. Install, configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot all SLS equipment including sensors, data acquisition systems, and advanced analytical tools. Provide technical support for rig-site instrumentation to ensure continuous data quality. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mud logging units and associated hardware. Execute software configuration and updates across various platforms (XRF/XRD software, Cadence, X-View Hypered, INSITE, X-Powder). Operate, troubleshoot, and repair TRU Vision gas systems including GC1, GC2, pneumatic systems, zero air generators, and mud heaters. Conduct full system diagnostics, calibration, leak tests, and performance evaluations. Lead system configuration for first-job deployments and regional operations.
