Roles and Responsibilities
1. Night Mud Engineer & Drilling Fluids Specialist Fluid Monitoring: Conducting frequent testing of Oil-Based Mud (OBM) and Water-Based Mud (WBM) during night shifts to ensure properties meet programmed specifications. Recipe Management: Adjusting and formulating mud recipes to maintain rheology and density as drilling conditions change. Software Reporting: Utilizing Mud Pro software to maintain accurate inventory records, track chemical consumption, and generate daily night-shift reports. Lab Supervision: Leading laboratory operations during the night shift, ensuring precise property testing and equipment calibration. Operational Call-outs: Providing immediate technical support and operational call-outs for lab equipment and fluid testing issues. 2. Solids Control & Filtration (Supervisory) Centrifuge Operation: Managing high-speed centrifuges (Big/Small Bowl SS-2000) to optimize the removal of drilled solids. Temperature Control: Monitoring and operating mud cooling systems to stabilize fluid temperature during high-pressure drilling. Filtration Management: Supervising the maintenance and operation of Vertical Pressure Leaf, Filter Press, and Cartridge Units. Contract Oversight: Managing equipment and operations across various rigs for major clients like PDO, SLB, and Abraj. 3. Logistics & Material Management Inventory Control: Overseeing the chemical inventory to ensure uninterrupted rig supply and tracking material storage. Rig Material Handling: Coordinating rig material management and chemical mixing while adhering to strict HSE compliance. Equipment Handling: Assisting in rig floor operations, pipe inspections, and crane signaling. 4. Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) Safety Standards: Maintaining high HSE standards across all operations, specifically regarding H2S and induction protocols. Audit Awareness: Ensuring all fluid and equipment operations align with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) guidelines.

Professional Certifications 1. H2S & HSE Induction: Issued by OPAL Oman and valid until October 2, 2028. 2. IWCF Level 1: Well Operations Crew Resource Management (WOCRM) completed in 2024. 3. Audit Awareness & SHEQ: Certification from SHIELD obtained in 2024. 4. Petroleum Engineering Principles & Concepts: Certified through Alison in 2024. 5. Introduction to Drilling: Completed through Learn to Drill on October 21, 2025. 6. Well Control Equipment & Completion: Certified by Drilling Mentor in 2018. Technical & Software Skills 1. Mud Pro: Advanced proficiency for managing chemical inventory, logistics, and comprehensive technical reporting. 2.
