Monitor rig operations from spud to rig move, including drilling, casing, cementing, Blowout Preventer (BOP) testing, logging, and completions. Coordinate callouts for the required well materials, equipment, and services in line with operation. Prepare data sheets for casing tally and cement calculations. Write up operation-related reports including Daily Drilling Report (DDR) using Openwells Landmark software, Material Control Sheet (MCS), Daily Cost Report (DCR), and Service Control Sheet (SCS). Troubleshoot drilling problems and provide corrective actions and remedial solutions, including wellbore instability, lost circulation, H2S incidents, well control, stuck pipe, and fishing operations. Attend pre-spud, pre-tour and pre-job safety meetings. Supervise advanced drilling operations and engineering practices, including extended reach drilling, managed pressure drilling, HPHT, under-balanced drilling, and horizontal drilling. Ensure operation is running based on safety standards by monitoring operation, attending various drills, and revising permits to work, safe job analysis (SJA), and task risk assessment. Supervise the reset of the site to its natural environmental setting after drilling is accomplished. Issue end of well reports. Review service company field tickets for accuracy of services provided and associated charges. Oversee equipment inspections and function testing of drilling tools, casing, tubing, and surface pressure equipment prior to operations. Promote cost-saving ideas and operational optimization consistent with meeting well objectives safely. Provide on-the-job training to less experienced drilling/workover personnel, promoting knowledge transfer and continuous improvement. Manage contractors’ activities, verify quality of services and materials, and evaluate drilling contractor performance (rigs, bits, directional drilling, and liners).
