Roles & Responsibilities Monitor and maintain drilling fluid properties (density, viscosity, pH, filtration) to ensure optimal well performance. Design, implement, and optimize drilling fluid programs according to well conditions and operational requirements. Supervise mud mixing, treatment, and maintenance operations at the rig site. Manage solids control equipment to maintain fluid quality and reduce dilution costs. Identify and troubleshoot drilling problems such as lost circulation, kicks, hole instability, and contamination. Prepare and submit accurate daily mud reports and cost tracking. Ensure full compliance with HSE standards and company procedures. Coordinate closely with drilling, geology, and engineering teams to improve drilling efficiency. Optimize chemical usage and inventory management to control operational costs. Train, guide, and supervise mud technicians and rig personnel.
