During my 3-month internship at Baker Hughes, I worked extensively in the Pressure Pumping division, responsible for job execution, tracking, and monitoring systems (including Maintenance, HP Iron, Gauges, and Hoses. I planned, scheduled, and coordinated emergency maintenance work, transforming it into planned work by anticipating the necessary repairs and performing daily preventative maintenance on the equipment. I gained hands-on experience working with various pieces of equipment, including the power pack, cement silo, cutting table, cement unit, batch mixer, air compressor, cement head, BJ pump,Morris pump, mixing tank, and triplex pump. I also had the opportunity to visit the workshop, where I worked on equipment checklists and directly interacted with these devices. Additionally, I gained insights into directional drilling by visiting that division, where I explored the equipment and software systems used in the field. This internship enhanced my technical knowledge and operational skills in pressure pumping and equipment management, while also providing me with valuable exposure to other segments such as directional drilling.
