• Connect and disconnect drill pipes during drilling (“tripping in/out”) • Assist in adding or removing drill strings • Work closely with the driller and derrickman • Keep the drilling floor clean and free from hazards • Ensure tools and equipment are properly arranged • Prevent oil spills and slipping risks • Handle equipment like: • Tongs (manual or power tongs) • Slips and elevators • Iron roughneck (automated pipe handling system) • Assist in running casing and tubing • Follow instructions from the Driller • Help in mud circulation activities • Monitor basic equipment performance ⸻ 5.
