Roles and Responsibilities
In my current role as a Data Engineer / Mudlogger, I am responsible for delivering real-time geological monitoring and analysis to support safe and efficient drilling operations. I continuously monitor drilling parameters and evaluate subsurface formations by analyzing drill cuttings, gas readings, and other geological data. This enables accurate identification of lithology, fluid content, and potential hydrocarbon zones. I work closely with wellsite geologists, drilling engineers, and other operational teams to ensure data accuracy and timely communication of critical information. My responsibilities include maintaining data acquisition systems, ensuring proper calibration of sensors, and recording high-quality datasets in line with industry standards. I also prepare detailed daily and end-of-well reports, summarizing geological findings and operational insights. Additionally, I actively contribute to improving drilling performance by identifying abnormal trends such as pressure changes, gas anomalies, or formation transitions, helping to reduce non-productive time and operational risks. My role requires strict adherence to HSE policies and well control standards, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. Through my experience across multiple international projects, I have developed strong analytical, technical, and communication skills. I am proficient in industry software and tools used for real-time data interpretation and reporting. Overall, I play a key role in supporting decision-making processes and optimizing drilling efficiency through accurate geological evaluation and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
