 Monitor rig activity, ensuring efficient use of equipment, materials, and personnel.  Coordinate well planning and spud-to-completion activities, including casing, cementing, and directional drilling.  Oversee the execution of drilling, completion, and workover operations as per well design.  Manage the interface between the drilling contractor, service companies, and the operator’s drilling team  Identify potential drilling hazards and recommend solutions to reduce cost and enhance efficiency.  Track and report daily drilling progress and compare with the well plan.  Ensure that rig operations remain within the allocated AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) limits.  Enforce strict HSE standards and procedures at the wellsite.  Conduct daily safety meetings (pre-tour, toolbox talks) and pre-job safety analyses (JSA).  Ensure compliance with all government, environmental, and company HSE regulations.  Lead emergency response drills and incident reporting protocols.  Maintain accurate and timely records, including Daily Drilling Reports (DDR), equipment usage, mud checks, and cost tracking.  Submit daily reports to head office, including drilling data, operational issues, and safety statistics.  Ensure rig equipment is inspected, maintained, and operating within specification.  Verify and approve materials and services delivered to the wellsite.  Maintain well control at all times; respond appropriately to kicks, losses, and wellbore instability.  Ensure IWCF/IADC well control procedures are followed at all stages of drilling.  Coordinate Blowout Preventer (BOP) testing and function drills as per regulations.  Coordinate with geology, mud logging, wireline, and other service teams to ensure operations align with overall drilling objectives.
