As a Drilling Manager, I am responsible for overseeing and managing all drilling operations from the initial planning phase through to execution and completion. I ensure that all drilling activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies as well as local and international regulations. I coordinate closely with geologists, engineers, and contractors to develop drilling programs, select appropriate equipment, and allocate resources effectively. I supervise drilling teams on-site, providing leadership, guidance, and technical support to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Monitoring daily drilling operations, I analyze performance data, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and operational costs. I am also responsible for ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, conducting regular inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture among all personnel. Additionally, I manage budgets, control expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints. I prepare detailed reports, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate progress updates to senior management. My role also involves troubleshooting complex drilling issues, optimizing drilling techniques, and continuously improving operational efficiency through innovation and best practices.
