Gas Analysis: Operate and maintain gas chromatography systems to monitor Total Gas and $C_1$ through $C_5$ levels, identifying potential hydrocarbon zones and hazardous gas "kicks." Lag Time Calculation: Regularly calculate and update "lag time" (pump strokes/time) to ensure surface samples are accurately mapped to their true downhole depth. Early Warning Systems: Monitor pit volumes and flow rates to detect fluid gains or losses, providing immediate alerts to the Driller for well control and blowout prevention. Sensor Calibration: Calibrate and troubleshoot wellsite sensors (pressure transducers, pit level sensors, and flow meters) to ensure 100% data reliability.
