Execute Orders from the Driller, Tool Pusher

Observe proper rig operating procedures, noting unsafe practices.

Assisting the Tool Pusher and supervision of all work activities on the rig.

Execute instructions from Tool Pusher.

Ensure drilling operation is carried out as defined in the approved operator’s instructions and drilling program.

Maintaining rig mud pumps, power engines, tanks, all drilling tools and equipment & checking them for correct specification and fitness for job before using them into use.

Work pre plan & work distribution with crew members.

Daily tool box talks for plan & safety precautions etc.

Assist during the running and retrieving of marine risers and BOP stack.

Assist in the planning, organization and supervision of rig move operations.

Supervise the lubrication and maintenance of all drilling and associated equipment and ensure it is carried out in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS).

Maintain equipment files, drilling logs and records; perform all technical calculations required to carry out drilling operations.

Hold pre-tour meeting with the drilling crew for all drilling operations.

Keep accurate records of fluid displacement when tubular is run in/pulled out of well.

Ensure that the solid control equipment and mud mixing operations are being monitored constantly.

Inform Tool pusher/Senior Tool pusher and Client Representative if a deviation from planned operation occurs.

Supervising use and operation of BOP and other associated equipment.

Ensuring appropriate well control measures are taken and company well control and drilling policies are adhered to.

Organization and supervision of rig and camp moves.

Maintain IADC book properly.

Secure well in emergency situation.

Direct crew in other emergencies such as firefighting, H2S.

Take initial steps to stabilize situation and inform Tool Pusher.

Prepare cementing and casing programs.

Interpret and respond to down hole conditions.
