Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor and record all static and dynamic drilling operations, including reaming, cementing, pipe running, and logging activities, ensuring accurate real-time data capture. Track gas levels, mud properties, and lag time continuously, identifying and reporting any anomalies promptly to maintain operational safety and efficiency. Identify potential drilling hazards such as kicks, losses, stuck pipe, and abnormal pressure, taking proactive steps to minimize risks and prevent incidents. Ensure consistency between actual and theoretical mud returns by analyzing drilling parameters and surface data, supporting accurate well monitoring. Collect and analyze gas samples as required, verifying lag time corrections to maintain data reliability and improve formation evaluation accuracy. Prepare and submit comprehensive daily and weekly operational reports, clearly documenting drilling progress, events, and technical observations. Collaborate closely with drilling teams, geologists, and other onsite personnel to ensure smooth communication and alignment with operational objectives. Support decision-making processes by providing accurate, timely data and insights, contributing to safe, efficient, and cost-effective well delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and performance throughout all drilling phases.
