    Over Eight years Experience as Petroleum Geologist (Well site Data engineer mud logging unit).  

     
    •Presently working as a Geologist (UNIT manager) for REPUTED COMPANY.

    Worked as Data Engineer BHI Qatar for OXY and MAERSK. During this period Oxy & Maersk has drilled horizontal multilateral wells. Most of the time maersk has drilled around 30000 to 35000 ft Total Depth.

    WORK RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB PROFILE


    •    Drilling engineering: Rotary speed, weigh on bit, hook load, standpipe pressure, rotary torque, drilling exponent’s estimation of true vertical depth.

    •    Litholog/striplog preparation: Rate of penetration, depth interpreted llithlogy, lithology description, show description, gas with chromatographic breakdown, engineering data, mud data, mud logging operation etc.,

    •    Rig up and Rig Down procedures and Installation, operation, maintenance, calibration of different sensors and trouble shooting of different equipments of mud logging unit.

    •    Evaluate gas panels measuring total gas and its components (C1, C2, C3, iC4, nC4, iC5, nC5). The gas panels being based on Flame Ionization Detection (FID) principle as well as TCD also.

    •    Monitor-drilling operations through online systems and gas levels, and report any anomaly to an appropriate person for action. 

    •    Use client provided gas interpretation methods to evaluate quality of reservoirs and source rocks.


    PRIMARY WELL CONTROL AND ABNORMAL PRESSURE DETECTION


    •    Closely monitor drill breaks, mudflow out rate, changes in pump pressure and active pit volumes, any increase in background gas (BG) level or appearance of connection gas (CG). 

    •    Maintain trip sheets for hole fill up and displacements, report any discrepancy observed. 

    •    Monitor caving shape and size, drag and torque.

    •    Examine and describe samples as per oil industry standards and client’s specifications. Evaluate samples for hydrocarbon shows. 

    •    Prepare an accurate and comprehensive Master log as per client’s format and Preparing well logs and final well completion reports, which include Pressure (D’exp) Log, Composite Logs, drilling Log, Shale Density & Shale Factor Plots, drilling parameters, Bit details, Gas analysis data, Casing & Cementation data etc.

    •    Monitor drilling operations,(Mud Condition, Drilling breaks, gas and oil shows, and cutting sample description) notify well site personnel of any anticipated or observed drilling problems related to geology.

    •    Assist in core recovery and description when required.

    •    Correlate Rate of Penetration (ROP) and gas data with neighboring wells’ Master log and wire line logs for prospective reservoir zones.
