- Handling and Trouble-Shooting of Various sensors and Instruments at Mud Logging Unit like Pressure sensors for Hook load (60 bar) and Stand Pipe Pressure (400 bar), Proximity sensors for Draw- work, RPM and SPM. - Predicting dangerous situations, such as over-pressured formations by evaluating Shale Density, Shale Factor, D-Exponent and Sigma Log.
- Gas logging (i.e. Hydrocarbon detection, gas analysis, reference degasser, other gases viz. H2S, CO2, etc.)
- Early detection of potential drilling hazards such as Kick, Lost Circulation, Washouts, Over Pressure Zones etc thereby improving safety and drilling efficiency.
- Calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of all type of rig MLU sensors and instruments.
- Preparation of Master log, Composite log, Drilling Dynamics Log, Pressure log (i.e. D’Exponent & Sigma plot), Gas Ratio Log, Gas Ratio Plot, Temperature plot, Shale density, Shale factor plot, Calcimetry plot, Hydraulic report, Trip sheet etc.
- Calibration of Gas Chromatography Analyzer (GC), Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer (THA), Flame Ionization Detector (FID) with ppm gas, methane gas and mixture gas. Trouble shooting of the Gas panel.
- Identification and description of Side Wall Core (SWC) samples.
