Job Responsibility:

  • Sample catching and identification of lithology under Electronic microscope.
  • To carry chemical analysis i.e., Hydrocarbon show, Shale density, Shale factor etc.
  • Online monitoring of different drilling parameters likewise, WOB, HOB, ROP, RPM, SPP, SPM and Temp, Press., Cond., Dens., of mud fluid (in & out sensors).
  • Preparing well logs and final well reports, which include Master log, D'exp plot, Composite Logs, Shale Density & Shale Factor Plots, Drilling parameters, Bit details, Gas analysis data, Casing & Cementation data     etc.
  • Organize the well control data for interpretation and future planning.
    Assist the drill site personals in determining mud densities required, for safe drilling.

    Active participation in the ongoing project contracted by major Oil and Gas (Coal Seam Gas) company. The job responsibility covers standard and advanced processing of core, preparation of litholog of the core and microscopic study for oil. Analysis for lost gas (Q1), desorption gas (Q2) and residual gas (Q3). Collection of early mid and late gas samples for gas composition and isotopic studies of the gas. Preparation of daily geological, drilling and cost estimation reports. Assisting to the Drill stem Test (DST) and wire-line teams.

     

    In addition to these while working in the laboratories I am responsible for the processing of core, Photography, Permeability and porosity test, and the spectral gamma logging of the core and also to carry out cleats analysis and preparing samples for proximate and isotherm analysis.
