1. Position: Operation Geologist, Reputed Company February- October 2013
JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Familiar with the planned drilling operations, required cuttings sampling, coring objectives and data gathering requirements and reporting requirements for the Kapuni wells KA-19 and KA-20.
2. Monitor the well operations using the remote INSITE Anywhere service, log prints from the contractors to identify formations, drilling issues, opportunities and work with the production geologist in this monitoring.
3. Advise and communicate with the MOED on any issues relating to the sampling requirements, data submission and lodgment of the well completion report.
4. Responsible for mudlogger and sample catchers. Monitor the mud logging contractor on site, ensuring that the required sampling is attained, adjusting the frequency of sampling in response to the drilling conditions or information required. Ensure mudlogging systems are functioning correctly, the data supplied is accurate, and required information is supplied, review the mudloggers daily reports and logs for accuracy.
5. Work as a wellsite geologist while drilling at reservoir, call casing point, TD point. Advise the site staff and drill crew ( CCDC) on the plans, objectives, and issues related to the well so that the crew understands and is comfortable with the planned activity and works to obtaining the required outcomes.
6. In charge of Coring operation. Work together closely with coring contractor, mudloggers, rig personal, the production geologist, petrophysicist, and Core Laboratories to identify core points, mark help up the core barrel. Notify the remote monitoring INSITE of delays or issues with the service or drilling operations, and check that data streams and remote sites are assessable.
7. Complete the well completion report for the KA-19 and KA-20 wells according to the requirements of the regulations.
8. Schlumberger logs witnessing. Monitoring the wireline logging operation and writing time logs. Ensure the logging systems are functioning, data supplied is accurate, communicate with petrophysict in town to meet the job requirement.
