DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient care responsibilities
1. Preparation of the bed & unit for reception of those being transferred from The mobile trauma unit & other hospitals.
2. Receiving the patient with adequate and proper transfer of information from the referring doctor, emergency medical transport team including admission formalities of the patient.
3. Assessment of the patient.
4. Checking & recording vital parameters and adjusting alarm limits on patient monitoring equipment.
5. Assess characteristics of signs & Symptoms and document the findings in nurse’s notes.
6. Maintain a patient intravenous line.
7. Admission oxygen as needed.
8. Obtain electrocardiogram and blood collection for lab investigation.
9. Watch for disarhythiams, Tachycardia, Bradycardia, Dyspnea, Diaphoresis, Colour of the skin Cyanosis, Changes in sensorium and notify on call doctor promptly.
10. Report the premature ventricular contractions to the physician.
11. Report medical and legal cases .
12. Assist all Invasive procedures.
