Description
• Leading a team of Drilling Engineers responsible for front-end engineering and planning work including tendering activities for Drilling & Completion activities to support the exploration and appraisal program in the South Diyur onshore field & North H’apy offshore field in Egypt.
• Responsible for Well Design & Construction, Cost (AFE) estimation and field development planning.
• Coordinate for pore pressure & fracture gradient prediction; determine surge-swab effects, ballooning, lost circulation management, directional well planning besides HPHT, H2S and Wellbore stability considerations.
• Standard Operating Procedure development, MOC (management of change) and preparation of drilling programs.
• Implementation of best drilling practices to minimize stuck pipe occurrence by taking proactive steps even from the time the Drilling Program is made with a view to eliminate the risk of stuck pipe. Also, analysis and evaluation of stuck Pipe incidents to generate lessons learned to prevent further reoccurrences.
• In charge of every aspect of Well planning & procurement including well head selection, Casing/Tubing design, Bit selection, BHA selection, Bit hydraulics, Down-hole tools, Well Control equipment, torque & drag modeling etc.
• Responsible for Well test equipment selection and Completion equipment selection.
• Responsible for developing plans of actions (POA) with comprehensive drilling, coring & completion procedures and risk assessments.
• Providing real-time operational support to the rig based team.

• Maintain safety standards on the Rigs by enforcing the Company’s HSE rules and procedures, ensuring timely reporting & investigation of incidents and reinforcing Hazard identification.
• Implement Drilling & Workover programs besides proposing and executing amendments to approved programs in response to changing operational requirements.
• Maintain Well control at all times by ensuring that all personnel are conversant with kick detection techniques and Well closing in procedures. Verify that all BOP & related Well control equipment are certified, maintained and tested to Company standards.
