- Responsible for the healty condition of the Amphion System (SBCs and WAGO network), OnTrack System (PLC and Remote IO), ABB VFDs, back ups, the alarm system, PA/GA, rectifiers, choppers, HMI&#;s, Fiber Optics, motor controls.
- Install test and maintain electrical equipment such as air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment.
- Responsible for the coordination and execution of electric and electronic preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance onboard generating work orders through SAP.
- Ensuring that all activities are carried out according to the regulatory frameworks and the Company Safety and Quality Management System (LO/TO and Permit to Work procedures).
- Monitoring of the acquisition, removal and disposal of electric and electronic equipment and spare parts as well as the registration of materials in SAP for future acquisition.
- Generate root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and take action on its results to avoid similar problems.
- Guarantee the correct functionality of environmental and sustainability equipment (wastewater, water, oily water treatment, electricity, fuel) for the clean industry certificate.
- Participate in work meetings for scheduled maintenance shutdowns in coordination with safety, quality and operations areas.
- Provide full logs and reports on handover and information on a shift by shift back to back basis to ensure the best flow of information.
In this company I achieved, as most significant achievements, the following:
I generated a maintenance plan and procedures approved by the National Agency of Industrial Safety and Protection of the Environment of Oil and Gas Sector for PROSPECTOR and PROSPECTOR high-end (Rated Water Depth: ft, Drilling Depth: , ft) jack-up rigs.
Start up and contracting of PROSPECTOR , PROSPECTOR and HAFFAR Jack Up rigs.
I supervised part of the SATs and commisioning of PROSPECTOR and PROSPECTOR Jack ups in close cooperation with our Project Coordinator in Dalian, China.
I supervised and documented the beginning of the construction of VERACRUZ Rig package in Baytown Texas.
I collaborated in the supervision and improvement of the execution of the preservative maintenance plan for TAMAULIPAS Rig package in Baytown Texas.
Iberoamericana de Hidrocarburos S. A. de C. V. (- – -) As Electronic Technician my main function was the healty condition of the Amphion System, back ups in compact flash, all the communications modules and the SBCs of an AC IDEAL RIG. Also I was responsible for doing the modifications, corrective and preventive maintenance in all instrumentation and electronic devices, I got to align, adjust and calibrate equipment according to specifications, maintain records of repairs, calibrations and tests, maintain electrical parts inventory to include: odering of electrical parts, shipping and receiving of electrical parts being sent for repair, training of maintenance and operations personnel on electrical, electronic and control systems and participates in Root Cause Analysis of failures.
I promoted the culture of continuous improvement among the maintenance personnel (mechanics, electricians, supervisors) and also implemented their training in Amphion. I developed new lines of suppliers seeking to comply with better quality, service and price for the components of the drilling equipment. Tecnojar-Makel México S.A. de C.V. (March – December ) As a project engineer I developed new projects that improve the steel industria production with Allen Bradley Automation and UNICO drives. Also I collaborated in projects of energy saving and network monitoring with Schneider ION devices.
Important achievements in Tenojar - Makel:
Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea: I coordinated Engineering and Detailed Design of the control system for a metal sheet Cut-to-length line using a elta Brand Inc. (DBI) Rotary Shear, UNICO drives, and Allen-Bradley PLCs. All the panels where wired up and installed in Dallas, TX to simulate and guarantee the line start up in the facilities of the End-User.
Steel Warehouse: I planned, coordinated and implement projects that accelerate production, reduce downtime and facilitate the flow of logistics information at the plant.
APN: I collaborated with Delta Brand Inc. (DBI) personnel to start up a new steel cutting line that facilitates production and modernizes the plant.
General Motors Silao: Troubleshooting in a test bank of transmissions.
Carpenter Aceros Fortuna: Troubleshooting in a steel block cutting machine.
