DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installs and maintains electrical wiring and equipment such as A/C and D/C motors ( HP), generators, air conditioning, and VFD unit.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all power generation and distribution equipment, i.e. generators and engine controls, SCRs, switchgears, transformers, etc.
- Carry out maintenance and repair on electrical components of drilling equipment, i.e. Driller&#;s console, DC drilling motors and auxiliaries, Top Drive System, draw works, mud pumps, etc.
- Maintain an adequate supply of spares in order to fulfill maintenance requirements and facilitate a safe and efficient operation - generate requisitions as required.
- Maintenance and repair of general rig equipments such as HVAC system, refrigeration plants, communication systems, fire alarm systems and lighting systems and Kitchen Galley Electrical equipments and Air Condition.
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Permit to work system (ISSOW)
MY BASIC EXPERIENCES WITH THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENTS
- Main Power Caterpillar Generators - CAT * diesel engines, each driving an AC generator rated , KVA, V, -phase, Hz.
- Emergency Power - One Caterpillar B diesel engine driving an AC generator rated , KVA, V, -phase, Hz.
- Motors phase / single phase AC - - - Delta / Star
- Ross hill SCR,NOV-Varco Topdrive,Mudpump,Drawworks...( HP)
- Motors DC shunt - series - Compound.
- Thyristor Drive control system for DC motors ( KW each)
- Automatic control Ross hill SCR.
- VFD AC power distribution system with AC drilling motors (GE Motors ) HZ electrical system
- Mud Pumps - x NOV -P-, , hp triplex pumps, each driven by Baylor AC motors. High pressure mud piping rated to , psi.
- Top Drive - DDM TDS-SA, ton hoisting capacity, with a , hp AC motor, rated to , ft.-lbs. continuous drilling torque, maximum speed of rpm and an intermittent torque of , ft.-lbs.
- Top Drive TDS with VFD concept.
