Job Description

Job Summary:

The Safety Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining safety systems to ensure a safe working environment. This role focuses on risk assessment, engineering controls, compliance with safety regulations, and continuous improvement of workplace safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and engineering controls.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments, hazard analysis, and safety studies (e.g., HAZOP, JSA).
• Design and recommend safety systems, equipment, and processes.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety standards.
• Review engineering designs and project plans for safety compliance.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and performance monitoring.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to improve safety measures.
• Provide technical guidance on safety-related matters.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, documentation, and compliance records.
• Support emergency preparedness and response planning.
