Job Description

Job Summary:

The Chief Mechanic is responsible for overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, and leading the maintenance team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of machinery, and minimizing downtime to support efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of mechanics and technicians.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and oversee repairs of machinery and equipment.
• Ensure optimal performance and reliability of plant machinery.
• Monitor maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams for maintenance planning.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement requirements.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff.
• Inspect equipment regularly and recommend upgrades or replacements
