Minimum Job Requirements
B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 15 years experience of planning, scheduling & Project Coordination in oil
and gas industry including at least 5 years in supervisory capacity. Knowledge of
basic computer and of relevant vendor packages, e.g. Primavera or equivalent.

    Purpose of Job Supervises planning, scheduling, monitoring, estimating, cost control, computer based systems and reporting on projects being implemented by the Division. Analyses and advises on implementation strategies for new projects. Establishes and maintains systems, procedures and techniques in the areas of planning, cost control and reporting. Monitors and control the Engineers’/Consultants’/Contractors’ project plans, schedules, progress, resource utilization and recommends corrective actions. Prepare capital and operating budget. Identifies trends for corrective action to the taken.The scope of work in the areas of planning, scheduling monitoring and control covers more than one major project.. WORK PERFORMED Develops and maintains policies, systems and procedures covering planning, scheduling, progress measurement,monitoring, cost estimating & control, project trending and reporting. Reviews and comments project execution strategies and implementation plans for new projects Prepares the planning formats and scope of work with respect to project control in the Tender documents and participates in technical evaluation of bids. Ensures that suitable contractual provisions are made in all contracts to provide appropriate planning and scheduling data, information and documentation. Reviews and comments on the procedures proposed by Engineers/ Contractors for planning, scheduling, progress measurement, cost estimating, cost control and reporting. Reviews and recommends necessary planning documents for Company approval and ensures that such documents are regularly updated by Engineers and Contractors. Ensures that the planning and scheduling documents such as, projects master schedules, logic and interfacing of various activities, progress reports, “S” curves and bar charts, detailed work plans and baseline schedules etc. are properly developed in accordance with contractual time schedules and frequencies by Engineers and Contractors. Reviews the work forecasts and plans for remaining activities and comments and forecasts future performance. Monitors and identifies regularly critical and subcritical activities and its impact on project schedule, analyses Engineer/Consultants/ Contractors performance, schedule trends. Identifies potential problems areas and recommends and follow up corrective actions and recovery plans to avoid/minimise impact and ensure timely completion of projects. Reviews resource deployment and work of contractors and recommends corrective actions. Monitors the reported progress of Engineers/Contractors and ensures that the reports accurately reflects the actual performance and productivity. Prepares, coordinates and consolidates capital budgets for projects. Prepares, coordinates and consolidates annual operating budget for the Division.
