Performs a variety of technical, administrative, and supervisory work in planning, organizing, directing and implementing fire prevention, suppression and emergency response services to prevent or minimize the loss of life and property by fire and emergency conditions.
Acts as the Principal Advisor on Fire, Rescue and HAZMAT operations. Leads the fire and rescue activities, emergency planning and business continuity planning.
Conducts fire hazard protection identification programs, review of new project design and plant modifications and ensures adequate protection measures to eliminate emergency incidents. Develops and implements procedures for protection of personnel, assets and environment at large.
Prepares a variety of reports and statistics on Fire Protection (incidents / accidents / near misses) and emergency incidents. Highlights shortcomings and recommends new techniques or programmes aimed at improving fire protection and preventing the recurrence of emergency incidents in Ruwais Refinery.
Implements effective Fire programs that include all departmental work units. Maintains an open work environment within the section.
Ensures the proper inspection of work sites for integrity and availability of fire
fighting equipment and fixed systems. Checks the adherence by all personnel to fire protection rules and regulations.
