1. Team Leadership & Workforce Management Assign daily tasks and work orders to technicians based on skills and priorities. Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff. Ensure proper shift coverage and manage schedules, overtime, and leave. Promote a strong safety culture and enforce safety rules. 2. Maintenance Planning & Execution Oversee preventive maintenance programs for equipment, machinery, and facilities. Respond to breakdowns and coordinate corrective actions. Review completed work orders for quality and accuracy. Prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs and risk. 3. Equipment & Facility Management Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities. Ensure proper calibration, lubrication, and servicing of machinery. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or services. Maintain facility infrastructure (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building systems). 4. Safety, Compliance & Quality Control Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies. Investigate incidents, near-misses, and equipment failures. Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and certifications. Ensure technicians follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures. 5. Inventory & Resource Management Manage spare parts inventory and reorder critical items. Track tools, equipment, and consumables. Optimize resource usage to reduce downtime and costs. 6. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and downtime. Prepare reports on KPIs such as MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures). Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track work orders and assets.
