A position report direct to General Manager-Operation,  the position are to formulate logistics and supply chain strategies and handle the overall Purchasing/Procurement, Material Handling, Logistics Operation, price negotiation for Air Freight and Sea Freight services which include organization costing, budgeting as well as the focal point to handle the operational project deliveries.

 

The position responsible of:

1. Responsible for the implementation of programs resulting in continuous improvement of service levels to the field organization. Maintain a close working relationship with business segments to ensure service delivery and right quantity, time, place and reports on the departmental performance.
2. Handle equipment pre arrival/ clearance and formalities with customs department as well as negotiate and agree the final local tariff, plan and monitor material requirements with minimum holding costs, vendor selection and purchasing functions.

5. Manages logistics costs and overall performance through identification of freight consolidation opportunities and root causes analysis of deviations, process improvement reviews, negotiation and administration of third party logistics contracts. Identifies and works on total cost reduction initiatives to ensure safe operations and technical integrity.
6. Plan, forecast and manage on-time logistics movements and schedules for material and parts/ cargo delivery as well as to plans, organizes and communicates effectively to initiate change for continuous improvement in operations and system process and performance.
7. Interface with internal operational business units and external customers, freight forwarders, Customs Clearing Agents, and customs Representatives to ensure efficient, effective and repeatable service delivery as well as manage and supervised the equipment inventory movement for equipment and test gear, installation equipments and other related to the installation programs.

-       Monitor and spearhead the RM44 installation project in Malaysia on mobilization/ shipment progress of equipment and material from supplier to sites.
